Technical Information

The project currently uses a Phase One digital camera system, and Apple Mac Pro equipment.;

Phase One 645AF III body

P65+ Digital back

Mamiya 45mm, 80mm, and 120mm macro lenses

Apple Mac Pro Quad Core

The image quality is second to none, giving a full output of 60.5 million pixels. Each RAW image alone is around 60mb, which is then processed to around 100mb for use in the image collection.

The images are captured using either a copy stand set up with 2 Multiblitz Xenolux 1000 flash heads, or a Traveller’s Conservation Cradle, which is specially designed and built specifically for this type of digitisation work.
